Merideth is becoming an avid reader...

Merideth has started to carry a book with her wherever we go.  One day last week we were driving around picking kids up and running errands and she started laughing out loud in the backseat...she was reading to herself and found great amusement in the pictures and story she was totally engrossed in.  When Coulter was about her age he had a 1st grade teacher who shared with us one of our best ever tips for getting young kids to bed on time...give them a book light and tell them they can stay up and read as long as they like but that they can not get out of bed!  It has worked for most of our kids.  Coulter is still an avid reader, Maddie and Blake not so much, Makenna goes in spurts and now our last one is learning to LOVE her books...this truly makes my heart happy as I often still read myself to sleep!
