Chickens!

Our family had the opportunity to take care of friends of ours chickens while they were away on vacation.  The bigger kids did not really want to go but those of us who went had a super fun time. The chickens were so cute and so soft. We got to check the hen house for eggs and were pleasantly surprised to find 18 eggs waiting for us.They were a variety of colors mostly blue and soft brown. We collected our treasure and then stayed for nearly an hour feeding the chickens and watching them run around and play. I am pretty sure that once we got home, Bill was in our backyard dreaming of our very own chicken coop...maybe someday... but for now I am certain it is against our homeowners association rules!

Merideth set up crackers going all the way up the ramp so she could watch the pretty ladies go into the house.

The eggs were delicious! Hope we get to do this again.
