South Padre

This was a summer that will go down in my mind as the summer we had to keep our plans set in sand...simply because every time I turned around my perfectly laid out summer plans were changing...and then changing again... and again and again!~

At the beginning of the summer we had planned to go to IL for a two week trip...we even wrote it in our calendars and Bill planned to work and travel from there...by the second or third week of summer we realized that that was not going to happen.  Two of our kids had commitments that lasted until the 8th of Aug that I had not counted on and since we wanted to take a family vacation we quickly changed courses.  Ultimately we ended up finding an incredible condo on South Padre Island... those plans also had to be altered several times and ended up meaning that we had to fly the boys to meet up with us for just a few days.

Bill had to work most of the week so that left just me and the girls down by the water...it was deserted...seriously, we were the only ones down there until about 6PM every single day~
