Merideth's Amazing Teachers...We have been BLESSED!
Miss Traci...she greeted us each morning with this fabulous smile. Merideth liked to talk to Miss Traci about her shoes and her yellow jeep. I am pretty sure that if Merideth could pick out our next car it would be a yellow jeep with only two doors! She looks for Miss Traci everywhere we go and waves even if it is not for sure our sweet friend.
Miss Kathy...the music teacher and the lady with the glasses. Merideth often talked about the lessons that Miss Kathy had for the day in chapel or the games that Miss Kathy played with them at gym time. Miss Kathy is a prayer warrior and Merideth knew that she often prayed for her.
Miss Aimee Rachel...our first teacher at Rockpointe and the teacher who has impacted me personally in ways that only God knew I would need...Merideth invited Miss Aimee to her 4th birthday party as the first guest on her list a few summers ago...when she arrived Merideth nearly flew across the parking lot into Aimee's arms because she was so happy to see her again. We have pretty much stopped into Aimee's room every school day for the last three years. This lady is truly a gift! She has also raised three amazing kids and has a heart for teenagers like no one I have ever met before...she is going to school to be a high school teacher..
Miss Kristen...a teacher who understands the need to be who you are...she is laid back, creative and loving. She allowed Merideth to be the Justin Beiber lovin', crazy sock wearing, chatty kind of girl all while still getting what you need to get done ...done. She worked so hard with Merideth on the order of her letters in her name and came up with some great ways to help Merideth remember where each letter went ( I think she felt sorry for Merideth having to remember 9 letters and a slightly crazy spelling) and she never got impatient like mom did. Merideth and I are hoping to see more of Miss Kristen since it looks like one of Miss Kristen's kids is going to go to Blake's school!
Miss Amy...the sweetest, most loving and patient teacher ever! Miss Amy always greeted us with a big smile and a hug and was ready for a story from either Merideth or I as to why we were late (sometimes in the morning and sometimes at pick up!) Miss Amy also understood that Merideth is a sort of free spirit who needs to get her words out and looks at things from a slightly different perspective...being the youngest of 5 will do that to a girl ya know. One of our favorite things is that Miss Amy's daughter and Merideth are on the same soccer team so we got to see her every week during the season and we are hoping we all stay on the same team for a long time to come!
For the last three years we have had the blessing of attending Rockpointe Weekday Preschool. Every single year we have had the perfect teacher for Merideth (and I)...each one leaving a lasting impression on our lives. We are grateful to God for providing us with these wonderful ladies. OK enough said or I will be crying on my keyboard again!
