The Mixed Up Birthday Bash...Makenna's friend party...FINALLY!

This is the closest picture I can find of Makenna in her mixed up outfit...the mere fact that she is wearing a skirt made of tulle matched with her orange Liberty shirt is enough to explain why we came up with this theme...Makenna does not care about how she dresses... it doesn't have to match, it only has to be comfortable and she has to be able to wear her puma's so that she can play soccer at recess. Unless of course we ask her to dress up for church or something , then she has " nothing to wear"  and it all looks"gross"  This theme fit Makenna's personality to a tee!
Our mixed up cupcakes...rainbow cake with white frosting and sprinkles from Valentine's day, Christmas, and fourth of July!

Balloons everywhere...cause it is a party!

The paper products were mixed with no rhyme or reason...

A photo gallery for the girls to try to guess how old Makenna was in each picture...a prize was given and someone actually got 8 out of 9 right!! We also played a game of "How well do you know Makenna"...we had a list of 10 questions that we thought would be hard to know the answers to (Bill did not get them all right!) but two of  Makenna's friends got 8 out of ten right!

23 out of 25 girls attended and all were dressed in a crazy mixed up outfit...some more so than others!

The girls were super sweet to let Merideth get in on the bubble blowing competition.

We played a mixed up sock game...everyone went home with a mismatched pair of socks!

Tye dyeing was next...some girls had never done this so it was especially fun for them.

Miller letting us know she was all done!

Ice cream sundae bar along with the mixed up cupcakes made for a perfectly messy snack!

Swimming capped off the evening...several of the girls also wore mixed up bathing suits to add to the fun! Makenna had a blast at her party.  She has loads of friends that all got along beautifully and they all totally got into the theme which made this a perfect night that Makenna and I will not soon forget.
