neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

This year the Easter Egg hunt started at our house!  It was fun to hide eggs for the littlest kids in our neighborhood.  The littles were so stinking cute...

Merideth had no problem getting right in there and running to find her eggs.

She is happy that she found all 12 of her eggs...now for doughnuts!!

By the time we got to Makenna's age group the kids realized that the eggs were hidden much better than  when they were younger.

The kids all checking out the loot!!!

Blake did not want to join in the fun...until the kids his age were lining up!

Then all bets were off! He was off and running with the rest of the crazy teenagers.

I can't remember how many years we have been doing this but I am pretty sure it is at least 4.  It is a fun time to see our old neighbors and meet some new ones. Everyone walks around house to house and then we end up in one of the courts eating doughnuts and hearing about the amazing gift that Jesus gave us by dying for our sins and raising up again on the third day.  This year one of our neighbors did the resurrection cookies and even gave everyone some dough to take home for themselves.  We sure do have some great families in our neighborhood. It was a fun way to spend our Saturday morning.
