Last Tournament before the Soccer Season Gets Underway

 The Diamonds played in one last tournament before our spring season gets going...they dominated every game they played in including the championship game.  Unfortunately the game ended in a tie after two over time periods which means the winner was determined by penalty kicks! The first 5 kicks resulted in both teams scoring 3 which meant the next two girls had to kick...we made one but not the other and so the other team won!  It was heart breaking for the girls...they played so well and the conditions of the day were not enjoyable...it was so windy the ball would stay in the air and not go anywhere close to where the girls meant to send it.  Oh well...I think they will be more fired up than ever to win big in league play.
